Dumpster Lid ID Holder (Ketch X)

Introducing our very own identifier holder, the Dumpster Lid! Our identifier holder has been made to pair perfectly with all of our aluminum identifiers, but have no fear it also works with regular old printed out identifiers in a sleeve (sleeve not included). You can utilize velcro to attach the identifier or you can also bolt it on! We have designed the identifier plate with a 1/4 hole ready to accommodate a 1/4-20 machine screw. Our design is meant to offer you a more secure attachment of the Double Up series identifiers. As kayak anglers just about all of us have spare 1/4-20 hardware around and that is why we decided to use that size hole for your bolt-on option. During the design process we gathered feedback from a lot of kayak anglers. By and far there were two leading complaints about the identifier holders they were using:

1. The identifier holder I currently have breaks too easily. We have addressed that by 3D printing our identifier holder with PETG and designing them in a way that allows for some flexibility. This flexibility will help in the colder months and does not affect it's use in the hotter months.
2. The hinges on identifier holders become loose and floppy, or the pins are made from plastic and break. During the design process the hinge was hands down my biggest concern. The Dumpster Lid uses a 1/4-20 machine screw and locking nut as the hinge pin. This allows you to adjust it over time if needed which solves the "flop" issue and eliminates the concern of a plastic hinge pin.

This version of the Dumpster Lid fits the X "K" board as pictured. Note: This version is NOT for any "K" brand of board other than the X. Velcro and/or screw to secure the identifier is not included.
